Zombies: they are the in thing. They are everywhere. Books. TV shows. Movies. T-shirts. Halloween costumes.
Basically, there are two kinds of zombies. The first are zombies that rise from the dead. These are the undead zombies. The second are zombies that are the result of a virus and spreads, such as the book and movie World War Z.

It was fun helping this year, Stephen! Great challenge; can't believe it is over; the month sped by so fast :) Looking forward to next year's challenge; even have a theme I think :)
ReplyDeleteI think a lot of us are zombies after the challenge :)
betty
betty, April did speed by fast. Although A to Z can be a bit of a grind, I'm sorry that's its over. Kind of.
DeleteMy little brother loves zombies. He's even written some indie movie scripts, filmed by some friends of his with their own little production operation, about zombies.
ReplyDeleteThanks for co-hosting!
Zombies, and where would we be without zombies? :) The problem I have with zombie movies is they all seem to be so down because they are usually set where the world is falling. I likes Shawn of the Dead because the outbreak was contained :) It's been great reading all of your posts this month.

DeleteGreat post for Z Stephen, congratulations on the completion of the challenge.
ReplyDeleteYvonne.
Yep. I feel like a zombie right now. Posting every day is taking its toll.. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThere were not many blogs that I kept visiting this month. Yours was one of them because I liked the theme and the way you write! So I won't lose your URL and check back in May.
mmmm zombies, i like em.... good people, once!
ReplyDelete"Z" we made it... thank you!

ReplyDeleteAnd we did it! Ordered my survivor shirt and will wear it with pride.
ReplyDeleteAlex, question is, will you wear it and post a pic?
DeleteI loved World War Z. I wasn't expecting such a suspenseful movie. I figured it would be cheesy, dull and boring. So wrong:)
ReplyDeleteI think there might be a third way to becoming a Zombie--completing this challenge and having your head explode. :)
ReplyDeleteMelanie, I think you're right.
DeleteFor some reason I did not realize that there are two kinds of zombies till you pointed it out, even though I've seen both kinds in movies!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on crossing the A to Z finish line!
A Deecoded Life
Thanks Stephen to you ALL for this successful A-Z. So a BIG hello to you and all ... and the hugest thank you.
ReplyDeleteHahaha, great cartoon! Thanks for visiting my blog this month. Happy Z!
ReplyDeleteZombies! Great one. We finished!!!
ReplyDeleteTheresa, no small feat. We won;t get a medal. But there a badge we can place in our side bar of our Websites.
DeleteThe virus zombies seem to be the most popular.
ReplyDeleteYay for zombies! ;)
Long-live zombies! (If that's even possible.) I'm a Walking Dead fan and loved that video and the cartoon.
ReplyDeleteTamara, being a big fan of both I couldn;t resist.
DeleteReally The Walking Dead was one of my most popular shows. I wouldn't even think of it among the top 25. Congrats on another year.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to everyone who helped roll out the red carpet for the AtoZ challenge. I don't know how you guys get through so many sites but you're a true inspiration.
ReplyDeleteHa- I'm guessing there's a few zombies among us A-Z Bloggers right now who are trying desperately to catch up on their ZZZZZ's. It's been a blast - enjoyed your posts! @Door2LoreSue

DeleteI am not into zombies...I see too many of them at work-hahahaaa. Actually I think the zombies are in Walmart. Great to visit your site:)
ReplyDeleteI never realized there were two kinds of zombies but those are good categories to put them in. I really enjoyed your theme.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing and with the perfect Z word for your subject!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on finishing and with the perfect Z word for your subject!
ReplyDeleteKeebles, thanks for the double Congrats!
DeleteI am loving all the zombie posts today. Congrats on surviving the challenge! :)
ReplyDeleteJ here, stopping by from the #atozchallenge - where I am part of Arlee's A to Z Ambassador Team.
ReplyDeleteWelcome to "Z-day"!
I'm a fan of i-zombie, personally.
-J @JLenniDorner
I never considered myself to be into zombies but I am completely hooked on the Walking Dead! I find myself trying to explain why the show is #1 in the ratings for Adults 18-49 --- and it's pretty close to being #1 in my book and I'm out of the prime demo by a few years! I've enjoyed all of your posts and although I missed a few, I'll be coming back to catch up. Thanks for stopping by my blog: I appreciate the time you took to check it out and to comment. This was a fun adventure. Now I'm ready for some zzzz's...
ReplyDeleteAll the best,
Michele at Angels Bark
Thank you for all you did again this year, Stephen. With A to Z I think we may have increased the zombie population. I know I feel a bit like a zombie right now.

Tossing It Out
I am most definitely NOT into zombies. Your blogs were interesting Stephen and I always enjoy your science info too.
ReplyDeleteOh Zombies, come on, a class clown should be able to do better than that. Zombies might be a metaphor for something, I hadn't thought of that. I figured the writer just didn't want to flesh out the antagonist so we are left with zombies. No distinct personality, no distinct features, except their heads are often loose at the neck, and no character. The product of laziness, of well, later.
ReplyDeleteI guess we're all kind of zombied out at this point. I don't understand the fascination with the creatures, though.
ReplyDeletehaha. Funny cartoon. Except for the zombie movie with Billy Connelly, I don't care for zombie moviess. I don't get zombies at all, either type. Are they supposed to strike fear in us? Such as in don't become a sheep because look what it gets you. Hmmm, now I'm thinking too much. It was great meeting you, Stephen. See you around.

Take 25 to Hollister
Su-sieeee, great meeting you too! This is what makes A to S so much fun.
DeleteGreat subject for Z. I wrote a book of zombie poems for kids but I couldn't watch walking dead. Thanks to all for the A-Z. It's a big team.
ReplyDeleteFound you from my blog! I love your zombie comparison. :)
ReplyDeleteI want to be the zombie brain matter they love to eat. LOL
Diane, have you seen the new TV series iZombie?
DeleteT-shirts! Yea! I'm psyched. I am spent also and I still have another post to put up. I am running a day late as always. Thanks for the zombie info.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the win! Loved your the comic you used. :-)
ReplyDeleteP.S. so about that offer to promote my book on your blog...
I haven't really been able to get into the whole zombie craze. We watched the first season of Helix and I admit we found it to be intriguing, so I can't wait until season two is available on Netflix. I tried watching The Walking Dead, but I had problems with it. Perhaps, I'll give it another try. It looks like we made across the A2Z finish line. Thanks for co-hosting the madness and visits!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all your blog comments during the month. And thanks to you and your posse for running the thing.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on completing the A to Z challenge for 2015.
We made it! (I did 5 blogs this year for the series - all on different topics. Whew.)
Thanks for stopping by at

ReplyDeleteLove the cartoon.
ReplyDeleteHooray for finishing A to Z!
Yvonne
Zombies are great, unless they're chasing me. I especially like the song by The Cranberries.
ReplyDeleteAnnalisa, writing A-Z vignettes, at Wake Up, Eat, Write, Sleep
Annalisa, I love that song. Sounds so cool on an excellent set of speakers.
DeleteCongrats on completing A-Z. Hope you had lots of fun along the way.
ReplyDeleteSo now there's a shirt? How cool. Congrats on finishing.
ReplyDeleteI'd have trouble dining with these folks. I don't know why exactly, but there's something about them that dampen my appetite.
ReplyDeleteCheryl, is it that they're lookin gat your forehead. You have to tell them, "Yeah guys, eyes down here."

ReplyDeleteThe zombie with the brains looks so sad, but he should be happy. He has tasty brains while his fellow zombies will starve.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on finishing the challenge.
