Reflections Post 2015 Blogging A to Z Challenge

Reflections Post: Between May 4 and May 8, post your thoughts on the Challenge – what you liked, didn’t like, your experience, etc. AFTER you have posted, go add the direct link to the Linky list below

Wow! It’s officially in the books! My these was The Paranormal and Supernatural. 26 posts in in April, each blog represent each letter of the alphabet. Don’t know about you, but I was exhausted when I hit the ENTER key for my Z post.

Wifey and the kids and I took the weekend off and got a local hotel room and lounged around the pool, read, and napped. Sunday night we say Mall Cop II (this never gets old) and then capped of the weekend with ice cream.

My Three Favorite Blogs: This was a really tough one as there were so creative and fun themes.

Hilary Melton-Butcher: As usual, Hilary at Positive Letters …. Inspiration Stories did not disappoint. I feel almost like a scholar when I finished her final post capping off her theme of Aspects of British Cornish.

Tamara Narayan: Tamara’s theme was Cool Math Nuggets. Tamara is one of those few souls who can make math fun. She blogs at Tamara Narayan, Author

Jeanne Melanson: Jeanne posts about animals, wild and domestic, furry feathery and scaly, big and small, air land and sea. Her theme covered all kinds of fascinating and uniques creatures, Many I have never heard of. Jeanne blogs at Animal Bliss

Question: What were some of your favorite stops during the Challenge? What did you or are you going to do to celebrate participating in A to Z?

Oh, and don’t forget there are commemorative T-shirts by Clicking Here. I’m not sure, but I think Congress also voted for an A to Z postal stamp. It’s about time they got something done..

I was really beat by the time we hit Z. Was happy to take Friday off to go see The Avengers and spend time with my wife.
Hilary and Tamara had great themes.

  8. Loved the photo of the skeleton at the computer desk! Lol. Yeah, I kinda felt like that too...though I didn't lose as much weight as he did. :) I loved your theme Stephen and I'm going to be visiting all the posts of yours that I missed. Awesome theme! And a great Reflections celebration: Mall Cop II and Ice Cream? Sounds like a winner to me. Thanks for all your hard work, you and your troops. Great job!

  9. I visited Tamara's blog (it was so unusual), remember Hilary from other years, but didn't come across hers this year. Seemed fewer folks used categories this year which was interesting.

  10. Wow! Thanks for choosing my blog as one of your favorites. I'm surprised the math theme actually worked. As a fan of the supernatural, I enjoyed the heck out of yours too.

  13. I definitely fancy one of the T-shirts, great design!

I've popped a couple of links in my Reflections post but there were too many to mention, I celebrated getting through it with some quiet reflection as we had guests arrive on the Thursday who have only just left.

I love the idea of heading off to a local hotel with a pool!!

We were all quite tired ourselves so have had some food out, a Bar-B-Q even though it wasn't sunny (it at least wasn't raining) some takeaway in, a nice walk and they are the type of friends that you can all just be reading a book and not feel the need to constantly talk... oh and we had a fire, and tackled an overgrown hedge - those last two are unrelated by the way ;)

    Great A to Z!

  22. Question for you Stephen. Have you ever heard of a project to grow potatoes in outer space?

    I enjoyed the A to Z although I nearly didn't participate.

    1. I have not. But in the book The Martian he grew potatoes on Mars to help stay alive.

  23. I had lots of fun this year. Over at my blog I highlighted a few I really enjoyed, but there were so many good ones. I might join the road trip this year and remember to do it so I can find more.

  24. Hilary is a great blogger. I liked Tamara's math posts, too. I don't know Jeanne. I'll have to visit. Congratulations on completing the challenge!

  26. Great theme, Stephen. It was hard to read everyone's posting, and I didn't get to all the ones I usually follow. Still, it was a great challenge. Holli Moncrieff had fascinating stories of the macabre, many were real, or legends. I also enjoyed reading Silvia Villalobos' stories about her life and how it connects with her book. Teresa, Journaling Woman, featured favorite books, and most of them were also some of my favorites.

  28. Yours was a great theme! And I loved Hilary's and Tamara's as well. I'm visiting Animal Bliss today, because somehow I missed that one, LOL. There is NO way I could pick only three blogs. I had way too many that I visited every day while also keeping up with my duties as co-host and trying to find new blogs. I'm amazed that you even tried, brave soul that you are! Thanks for co-hosting IWSG today! Lisa, co-host #IWSG, @ http://www.lisabuiecollard.com

  29. I picked two blogs to highlight in my Reflections post. Now that the AtoZ is over, I'll be making 2-3 posts a week most likely, reading and commenting on others. I'll be outside swimming. I may even spend some time with Hubby. ;)
I want to thank you Stephen for making it easy to be a minion/alien/zombie! I truly had a blast!

  30. Hello there.
Well done for completing the challenge! You certainly had your hands full what with being co-host/blogger.
Just want to say thanks for your hard work behind the scenes and for stopping by on more than one occasion during the challenge. I fully understand about the tiredness...I myself am taking a long and extended blog hiatus...I'll just keep one eye on new commenters and the other eye on the growing reflections list!

  31. Oh wow! I am honored to be mentioned as one of your 3 Favorite Blogs! Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it. My theme being "A Collection of Really Cool Animals," meant that I had to do a lot of research, and I learned a lot in the process. I hope my readers did too. Peace!

  33. Hi Stephen - thanks so much for giving me a shout out - you are a great supporter ... and I must check out the others you mention ... I certainly didn't get round to seeing as many blogs as I should. I think going to the hotel sounds like a great idea - slumping like your cartoon skelebone above was definitely the 2nd best option! Your Paranormal and Supernatural theme was a good read ... and your last Zombie cartoon always makes me burst out laughing .. those brains! Cheers and happy summer - Hilary

  34. I loved taking part in the challenge this year - thanks so much for co-hosting and keeping the momentum going :)! I've only just discovered your blog now, so I'm definitely going to be looking back at your posts during the road trip. Your weekend away sounds like the perfect way to relax after such a busy month! Have a great weekend!

  35. That's nice that you celebrated the end with your family. This was my second year participating in the A to Z and I definitely think it went better. I wrote most of my posts the week ahead and kept them really short. This helped a bunch.
