Final Stop and Last A to Z Tip

Last Stop: The final destination to the Escalation Blog Tour is with L. Diane Wolfe. This is appropriate as Dian is all about promoting and such, and I recap what went right and what did not go as well as I expected with the release of Escalation: The Adventures of Chase Manhattan.

Final A to Z Tip: Make sure your settings allow for comments on comments. I often like to add to a comment someone leaves but cannot because the host does not have their blog set up for this. So make sure people can comment on comments. You’ll be surprised how often this happens!

To Infinity And Beyond!

Today we go to Nicki Elson’s Blog for one of my favorite topics: Science Meeting Science Fiction. Much of Star Trek has come to pass within our lifetime. Cell phones, phasers, and MRIs are used daily. Warp speed and beaming people around, however, are yet to be unraveled. But stay tuned. We as a species are well on our way.

Don’t Believe Me? Alrighty then. Stop by Nicki Elson’s Website for more on our voyage on leaving Earth’s domain and exploring our solar system. And BTW, NASA has confirmed we have officially left our solar system. The Voyager 1 probe is the first human made object to leave our solar system and is now somewhere in interstellar space.

“Scientists now have strong evidence that NASA's Voyager 1 probe has crossed this important border, making history as the first human-made object to leave the heliosphere, the magnetic boundary separating the solar system's sun, planets and solar wind from the rest of the galaxy.” REFERENCE

To Infinity and Beyond! It’s not just a slogan anymore.

Okay, it’s off to Nicki Elson’s Blog Let’s go!

This Time For Realsies!

Today we visit the Blood Red Pencil. This has to be one of the best titles I’ve come across in all my years of writing, editing, blogging, and promoting.

Anyway, I’m at the point where I’m giving a recap of my experiences of writing a trilogy, what I’m thinking now, and where the heck I need to go. I’m coming full circle and ending up where it all first began. My Yahoo! Writing Group called the BBT, or Blog Book Tour.

Let’s not delay any further. Without permission from Mary Pax, we are using Spacedock 19 to transport over to the Blood Red Pencil. She always leaves the keys in the ignition. Let’s give a special shout out in the comments if you have been affiliated in any way with this very supportive group called chocked full of knowledge, wisdom, and experience.

But let’s hurry, before May finds out. It's off to the Blood Red Pencil!

A to Z Right Around The Corner, Susan Gourley, Angels nd Demons, and E=Mc2

Happy Monday everyone! A to Z is right around the corner. This is a great time to pre-post a few more letters of the alphabet. I’m a bit behind but I really think I can finish them all before April 1st.

Today we continue with the Escalation Blog Tour at Susan Gourley’s Website and Science and the Supernatural, or E=Mc2. This is a fun one folks as we delve into how E=Mc2 could very well explain angels and demons. Don’t believe me? Stop by Susan’s site and check it out.

The Great & Powerful Theme Reveal A to Z, Flight MH370, Black Holes, The Weekend Funnies, Wormholes, and Jumper Cables

Whoo Hoo! The day we have all been waiting for. We can now officially announce our themes for the April A to Z Challenge.

My Theme: A bit predicatble, I know. But a whole lot of fun! Okay, here it is: The Wonders and Oddities of our Universe: I can go in so many directions with this one. And I’ll give you a hint of what’s to come. A is for Aliens. And it’s probably not what you think. Unless you watch the news seeking out the smaller stories. Which could turn out to be the Big Story over time!

CNN: Did A Black Hole Make Flight 370 Disappear? Well, CNN has finally made sense of all of this. A black hole may be to blame for th doomed airliner.

The Weekend Follies: No, I have not forgotten. I just posted a day early. Which I can do as I have a wormhole in my garage that I can travel back and forth through space and time. When it runs, that is.

Ummm .... I just need a jump. Yes, I left the lights on. Again. At least I didn't leave my keys in it. Does anyone have any jumper cables?

Weekend Follies: Okay, we will now travel back in time one day. Click to go to Bish Denham’s Blog for Humor in Fiction. See you there.

Weekend Follies With Bish Denham

Continuing on the Escalation Blog Tour, today we stop by Bish Denham’s Blog for Humor in Fiction. And who better to take us there than that crazy cast from Mystery Science 3000. So let’s blast off from the Gizmonic Institute and go to Bish’s blog before MST 3000 makes a spoof movie of my books.

But don’t forget to stop by tomorrow as the the Great and Powerful Theme Reveal for A to Z Challenge is Friday.

Julie Musil, The Science Behind Harry Potter, and E=Mc2.

Dumbledore and Voldemort Dueling
We’re well into the Escalation Blog Tour and are having a great time! Today’s post promises to resonate with young and old alike. We’ll be visiting Julie Musil’s Blog and the topic is The Science Behind Harry Potter, specifically the duel between Professor Dumbledore and Lord Voldemort..

Great News: We’ve only lost five people while teleporting around. But we’ve picked up two lost souls from my Opening Blog Tour. We’re only minus three in that department! So let’s get ready to apparate to Julie’s blog. Just a word of caution if you’ve never done this. Grab someone’s arm who has done this before.

Wait For Us!!!
Just don’t look for Dumbledore. He’s dead. So is Professor Snape. As is ... well, half of the cast of Harry Potter. But no worries. I’m here to ensure most if not all make it to Julie’s and back safely. Just grab hold of Harry's, Hermione's, or Ron's wrist.

Here’s What To Expect: Everything will go black. You will be pressed very hard from all directions. You can not breathe as there were iron bands tightening around your chest; your eyeballs will be forced back into your head; your ear-drums will be pushed deeper into your skull. No worries. Right? So grab hold of someone and let’s go!

The Pyramid of Doom, Lexa Cain, and Wormholes Too!!

Today we get to stop by Tuesday March 18: Lexa Cain’s Blog for my favorite topic: Wormholes! But we’ll need to pass through the Pyramid of Doom to get there.

Don’t let the name fool you. There’s nothing to be scared of. Except spiders. And snakes. Trap doors and alligators. Poison arrows. And large rolling balls made of stone.

And a large army of zombie mummies! Well, there's only one. But he's pretty darn scary. And hungry too.

Amazon Reviews: I’m beginning to receive some really awesome reviews for Opening at Amazon. Together, Breakthrough, Opening, and Escalation follow the lives of the unlikely participants from innocence to a coming of age through sacrifice, betrayal, passion, lust, unconditional love, and hope.
Escalation will appeal to fans of modern-day science fiction, paranormal, action, horror, and even romance.

If you haven’t downloaded Escalation: The Adventures of Chase Manhattan, I invite you to stop by the Amazon page, check out the reviews, and consider what I believe is far and away the best book of the Breakthrough series. CLICK HERE.

Special Announcement, Escalation Tour Schedule, and Amazon Reviews

Special Announcement: According to Space.com, a team of scientists will unveil what they bill as a "major discovery" in the field of astrophysics on Monday March 17 in a presentation at the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics. No one seems to know what it is, so stay tuned. Reference

What To Read: After 20 years of people telling me to read The Jaunt and Survivor Type from Stephen King, I finally downloaded The Skeleton Crew, King’s second collection of short stories. And loving every minute of my very limited downtime devoted to reading. The Jaunt is right up my alley.

2014 Celestial Calendar: Check out the 2014 Celestial Calendar tab at the top of this page. There are lots of really cool stuff on the immediate horizon. Amazing celestial events in the night time sky you can see with a cheap telescope or really good set of binoculars.

Escalation Blog Tour: Monday March 17th we visit Christine Raines and discuss a fan favorite: Supernovas. I mean, how cool is that? Supernovas!

Great Scott! It's Off To Spcaedock 19, Carl Sagan's Cosmos Reboot, and NASA For Kids

Hi everyone. Glad most of us made it back from Alex Cavanaugh and JL Campbell's tour stops. We only lost nine people. That’s a whopping 97.2 percent success rate at bringing everyone back and in one piece and something to be proud of!

Great Scott! Today we fire up the flux capacitor with 1.21 gigawatts of power and head over to Mary Pax’s Spacedock 19 for what is one of my favorite topics: NASA for kids. C'mon, hop in. There's room for all of us!

What to Watch: Did you catch the reboot of the classic the Carl Sagan 'Cosmos' hosted by astrophysicist Neil de Grasse Tyson on Fox last Sunday? Well, 8.5 million viewers over 10 channels did. Fox is projecting that more than 40 million viewers worldwide will have seen the debut of the new series by week's end.

The reboot is put together by Carl Sagan's wife Ann druyan and Seth McFarlane of Family Guy fame. "Television is the ideal place for a relaunch of the Sagan 'Cosmos' series," Fordham University professor Paul Levinson, author of the 'New New Media' says. "Because it's the biggest screen in the home and is easily seen by the family or friends at the same time.

Escalation Tour Stop Number Two: JL Campbell

Well, I have a full stomach. Thanks to Captain Alex and the Mrs. for hosting us and opening his living room to us.

Today we're off to JL Campbell's Blog for a bit of wisdom wrapped in humor. Something to help us get through the day and passing it on to the next generation.

So here we go using Dr. Evil's Time Machine. Grab a hold of Minnie Me's hand and don't let go. This is usually the pat of the blog tour we lose the most people.

And tune in tomorrow as we visit Mary Pax's Spacedock 19 and NASA For Kids.

Escalation: The Adventures of Chase Manhattan, 2014 Wormfest, Escalation Blog Tour, and the Wayback Machine

Hi everyone. As always, thanks for stopping by. This is a milestone week, chocked full of fun stuff and a feast of good food. So let’s not waste any time and get started!

Escalation: The Adventures of Chase Manhattan - Today is the day! Escalation, the final installment to the Breakthrough trilogy is released and available for download.

Together, Breakthrough, Opening, and Escalation follow the lives of the unlikely participants from innocence to a coming of age through sacrifice, betrayal, passion, lust, unconditional love, and hope. Escalation is an international thriller and will appeal to fans of modern-day science fiction, action, horror, and a bit of romance for the ladies.

Click the cover image (created my very talented nephew Jeremy Tremp) at the top right of my blog. And for the duration of the Escalation Blog Tour, Breakthrough and Opening are available for $0.99.

2014 Second Annual National Wormhole Week (or 2014 Wormfest): For 2014, the theme is to name one thing where science advances mankind, and one where the same technology with unforeseen consequences will go too far and set mankind back.

Of course, my topic will be Einstein-Rosen Bridges, or wormholes. Just think of the endless possibilities of transporting people safely through a wormhole from point A to point B (no time travel though). No more sitting on a congested freeway. No delayed flights or triple intrusive body searches from TSA.

The Downside:

* Illegal drugs could be transported across countries.
* Large sums of money and gold could be stolen from a bank vault. In and out without a trace.
* A nuclear device could appear in the Oval Office and blow everyone up.
*A nuclear device could be delivered to the ten largest cities in the US and detonated on the same day.

Let’s hope, should a breakthrough in wormholes ever happen, it will be destroyed and forgotten the same day.

Escalation Blog Tour: The theme for this event is Bringing Awareness of Science and Science Fiction to our Youth. But we can’t do it on an empty stomach. So we’ll have one epic potluck for the ages and gain some much needed energy for the trip.

First stop is Captain Ninja Alex Cavanaugh’s Blog. This will be a potluck event with a theme. Everyone brings a dish, but it has to have a pun to the name.

I prefer science, sci-fi, book, movie, or music themed food if possible. But it will be open to any and all food puns. You leave the food you’re bringing in Alex’s comments. Example: I’m bringing Square Pies (Pi) and Interstellar Cookies. They’re out of this world.

The Wayback Machine: Yep, just as in years past, we will use clever ways to travel from my blog to the host’s blog. And today we go in style. Mr. Peabody allowed me to borrow his Wayback Machine. He owes me. For what? Well, let's just keep that silent for now. But I have pictures. Thank you, Mr. Peabody.

Alex Cavanaugh's Trilogy
But Don’t Worry:    It’s safe. On my first Blog Tour for Breakthrough we returned 79.8 percent of passengers back alive and in one piece. For Escalation, we did much better at an 87.1 percent clip. This time I’m sure we can surpass the 90 percent milestone. And who knows, maybe we’ll find some of the missing participants from years past along the way. You've probably wondered about those bloggers who mysteriously stopped coming by your Website.

On Tuesday we are at JL Campbell’s The Character Depot.
On Wednesday we stop my Mary Pax’s Website.

Finally: To download Escalation: The Adventures of Chase Manhattan CLICK HERE.

Finally Part Deux: If you log into Twitter this week, please stop by #Escalation and Retweet some of the Tweets I have there.

Finally Part Trois: If you think this post is worthy, please give it a Tweet or a Facebook share. Thanks!

So buckle up and let’s go! It’s off to Alex Cavanaugh’s Blog. And check out his books CassaStar, CassaFire, and CassaStorm books too!

IWSG, One Million Dollars, I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends

IWSG: The brainchild of Alex Cavanaugh. ThePurpose: To share and encourage. Writers can express doubts and concerns without fear of appearing foolish or weak. Those who have been through the fire can offer assistance and guidance. It’s a safe haven for insecure writers of all kinds!

Here’s My Advice: When you are about to release the finished version of your blood sweat and tears, you need to make goals. And one of those goals is how much do you want to be paid for all your hard work and sacrifice. Well, how much?

That’s the big question.

For me, I like to think big. So I wrote myself two checks. One is for $100,000 for the first month. The second is for $900,000 for the rest of the first year. Total: $1,000,000.00

Hey, you have to dream and think big. Right? Go large. Supersize. Make it a double double with extra cheese. And don’t forget that cherry on top.

I Get By With A Little Help From My Friends: If you are not part of my Blog Tour but still want to help in some way, you can do a shout out on March 10th, or any day of that week.

Just let me know so I can stop by your blog and thank you and leave me a note in the comments so I can keep track. You can simply do your own shout out with a link to my blog or Amazon. Or you can copy and paste the synopsis or one of the blurbs on my Escalation Tab at the top of this page.

Finally: Don't forget to stop by Friday for The Weekend Follies. This is a great way to cap off the week with a good laugh.

Only One More Week!!!

Awesome Badges by Carrie Butler
On March 10, 2014 I’m kicking off the Escalation Blog Tour at Captain Ninja Alex’s Blog. I thought the best way to launch this tour is have one big party for the citizens of Blogdom. And you’re all invited.

Other examples could be:

• Harry Potter Jelly Beans
• Motley Crutons
• Souper Salad
• You should get married if you cantaloupe
• A salt and battery Fish and Chips
• Tequila Mockingbird
• Locks Stocks and Bagels
• Lettuce enjoy this salad
• Iggy Popsicles

Use your imagination or Google food puns, then stop by Alex’s blog Monday March 10th and leave what you bring in the comments.

Escalation: The Adventures of Chase Manhattan: If you are not part of my Blog Tour but still want to help in some way, you can do a shout out on March 10th, or any day of that week. Just let me know so I can stop by your blog and thank you and leave me a note in the comments so I can keep track.

You can simply do your own shout out with a link to my blog or Amazon. Or you can copy and paste the synopsis or one of the blurbs on my Escalation Tab at the top of this page.
