Bring in the Holiday Season!!!

Now that Thanksgiving is over, we can bust out the artificial Christmas tree. Colored lights to follow as soon as I can find them.

We had a really cool fire burning earlier. Wish I had a shot of that. Hey, what is that ugly apperition in the mirror? Ugh! It's hideous.

Wrapping miscellaneous stuff on the stair banister or whatever it's called.

A desk we bought on Black Friday. It was dirt cheap. Spent hours putting it together. Wish I could figure out the drawer. It just won't fit. We bought a second desk (I'll put it together tomorrow) and a PC tower that is kickass. Can't wait to put it all together.

Hammy the Hamster says hello! She wants to join me in a toast to the Holiday Season.

Guess she doesn't like white wine. More for me!

Okay, it's getting late. Time to bust out the Roku, finish that wine, and watch a couple episodes of Cosmos.

How was your Thanksgiving? Were you able to spend tiwm with family and friends? Busting out the Christmas decorations yet?

Don't you hate putting together furniture? Or is it just me?

    1. Alex, I really do. I get all excited like I'm going to accomplish a major feat, only to end up with something not working quite right.

  6. I made it home a few days before Thanksgiving and had to give my husband tons of kudos for having things so well organized that all I had to do was put the turkey in the oven. Of course, he'd invited 20! That was a bit of a surprise.

Love that you're already in the Christmas spirit. Hammy seems to be on the wagon, but as you say, more for you. Happy Holidays.

  7. Hammy the Hamster named after Hammy the Squirrel?

    I like your decorations, Stephen.

  8. We've switched over to a 3 foot Christmas tree that sits on an end table. Much less temptation for our rambunctious cockier spaniel. The fiber optic lights on the tree look nice, but I don't have any small ornaments to put on it. Your decorations and tree look nice.

  13. Hi, Hammy! My sister had a hamster named Hammy when she was a teen. :) I brought out my fake tree on Black Friday but I had to wait until Sunday to decorate it because I needed to buy new lights. haha

  14. I'm so late on getting the Christmas decor out! Our entire fam came down with bronchitis and the flu over Thanksgiving break. Lovely. So maybe tonight! I think putting a desk together is a Christmas nightmare. You should write a story about it;-)

  18. Yes, we did the whole sheband over the weekend, inside and out. I grew up with an artificial tree and loved it, but my husband grew up with a "real" tree tradition, so that's what we do now. It smells great, but the needles need constant vaccuming. Oh well. Happy Holidays to you and Hammy.
