Oh, How I Miss You Blogfest: Brought to you by Alex Cavanaugh, Andrew Leon, Matthew MacNish, the purpose of the Oh, How I Miss You Blogfest regards the following:
The bloggers you miss and the ones you would miss.
List one to three bloggers you really miss.
List one to three bloggers you would really miss if they stopped blogging.
And then go let them know!
Who I Miss: I miss Laura Eno and her blogs. One was named A Shift In Dimensions, then Laura moved to another blog that is no longer up and running. Laura was great and had this series of short stories that included characters Kronos and Death and another character I forgot. They’d often meet in a bar and discuss people that they should or should not kill and the reasons why. Great humorous stuff. I can still see Death sitting at the bar, a skeleton in a back cape, eating peanuts. Of course, being a skeleton, the peanuts would tumble down through the ribcage and fall to the floor.
A Person I Would Miss: Hilary Melton-Butcher from across the Pond and her blog Positive Letters .... inspiration stories ..... Hilary has one of the most fascinating and interesting blogs out there. Every time I stop by I learn something new. And Hilary has to be one of the most supportive people in all of Blogdom.
Okay, back to my Top Secret Work deep in my laboratory in a cave somewhere on Mars. If you don’t have a wormhole for travel in your garage, don’t try to find me. But I’ll be back real soon. I promise! As soon as I can remember how to get back in my secret laboratory.
Her River Fairchild site is also down? Well, crap! Must send her an email.
ReplyDeleteThanks for participating in our blogfest.
Thanks Alex. I didn;t know she was still active under the name River Fairchild.
DeleteHilary is a wonderful blogger, I agree with you Stephen.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
Hi Stephen .. thanks so much - I wasn't expecting to see my face beaming out at me! I loved Kronos and death and Laura's stories .. they were so amusing ... has she disappeared ... Alex is going to send her the comment revival kit ...
ReplyDeleteI don't have a garage ... so no wormhole - but glad you'll be back shortly ... and much appreciated for the thumbs up ... cheers Hilary
Hilary, not just one, but two thumbs up for you and your blog!
DeleteI don't visit Hilary, but see her face around. Hope the blogfest inspires some people to come back to blogging. Good luck in your cave.
ReplyDeleteI would miss Hilary, too!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the top secret project!
Hilary is so sweet! She always visits and has the nicest things to say!
ReplyDeleteAww...thanks, Stephen! I haven't been blogging much lately. Death and Chronos are ready to get back to their hijinks though. :)
ReplyDeleteRiver/Laura
Hilary always has such interesting topics and River really helped me plan for the Realms Faire this year.
ReplyDeleteGreat picks. I pictured you saying 'la-bore-a-tory' all evil like.
ReplyDeleteHilary is great. I would miss her too!
ReplyDeleteI found Hilary during A to Z last year. I love her blog and she is wonderful and positive.
ReplyDeleteI'm not familiar with these bloggers. Thanks for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteHere's to hoping River/Laura gets back in action with Death and Kronos quickly :-) I've seen Hilary around as well. I haven't had a chance to stop by but I will work on that.
ReplyDeleteNow try the brick two rows to the left and one brick down. That might be the one to let you back in your secret lab :-)
Oh... R2... I'm sold...
ReplyDeleteyeah, okay, i'm easy
Andrew, we're kindred spirits and probably didn;t know it.
DeleteHilary is such a nice lady. I'd miss her, too!
ReplyDeleteI am right with you about Laura and Hilary. Good choices.
ReplyDeleteI love Hilary's blogging voice. And I agree about Laura, miss her too.
ReplyDeleteQuick! To the secret lab.
ReplyDeleteI would so totally be one of those cats. If I had a "pull this leaver that looks like a book to open the secret room behind the bookcase" thing, I'd need to use a book labeled "Greed." The Addams Family reference!
