The Friday Follies

Celebrate The Small Things: Today I celebrate the view out my window as I write a few blogs. I look out over a nature trail and there is everything from hawks, falcons, owls, rabbits, possums, raccoons, and coyotes along with people walking their dogs.

It's nice to have a nice view rather than having a neighbors house a few feet away.

Our Back Yard. Not very big, but what a view we have!

Weekend Follies: I have a couple things for you today. First, I came across this pic on Facebook and thought I'd share it.

Also, I came across this YouTube composite of clips of Batman and Robin "climbing" a wall. there are 14 of these scenes with various stars from the past carrying on a campy dialogue with the Caped Crusaders. The first clip with Jerry lewis is at least worth a watch.

Enjoy!

  4. Hi Stephen .. I'd love to have that view - looks quite amazing, no wonder you're happy with it .. I have green and light and space, but it's not very scintillating ... still it's quiet and there's bird song.

That chap did make a bit of a mistake didn't he ..

Fun - loved the follies .. enjoy the weekend .. Hilary

  5. Stephen, I wish I had your back yard as my view. My window view is the neighbors home a few feet away. : )

  6. I look at a park - an apartment doesn't have a back yard - but the view is delightful and we love to watch the seasons which are demonstrated by the trees of which there are many. If I were to celebrate the small things today I would celebrate my new windows, lovely to be able to see out clearly.

  9. Where I live most people do not have large backyards. But there is so much to do we rarely stay home. And we have seasonal passes to Disneyland so we're there a lot.

  13. Oh my gosh, that had me cracking up. Thanks for the laughter!

Small doesn't mean it can't be awesome. I like your back yard and the fact you have a view of the nature trail. I love my view and all the lush green we have right now.

Congrats on YOU ROCK award. Well deserved. Have a great weekend, Steve.

  17. Nice view, Stephen. I used to walk a trail that wound past houses and wondered what it would be like to live there, backed up to a natural area and river.

The Batman-Robin clips are funny. I never saw that routine before.
