The Great and Powerful Theme Reveal A to Z: In light of my new supernatural thriller coming out titled Salem’s Daughters, my theme will be The Supernatural. Lots of things go bump in the night that can be explained outside the realm of our traditionally accepted five senses, and I will be taking a brief look at 26 of them. I hope you’ll join me as I have some really cool topics to cover.
A to Z; Alien to Zombie. Thanks Jeremy Hawkins |
Tremp’s Troops: I’ll take a moment to introduce my team of awesome and amazing people who will be helping with the A to Z Challenge. Thanks ladies! Let’s give it for (in alphabetical order):
Barbara at Barbara in Caneyhead
Betty at Views From Benches
Chrys Fey at Write With Fey
Corina Carrasco at Wasted Days and Wasted Nights
Holly Jahangiri at Writer, Wife, Mom, and Tree Climber
Jennifer Garcia at Italian Brat’s Obsession
Samantha Dunaway Bryant at Balancing Act
Susan Sapsed at Daily Waffling
A to Z Tips: Alex Cavanaugh has a list of great tips to make your blogging challenge easier. We want this to be a blessing and not a burden. I do want to highlight two:
1. If you have multiple blogs and there are some that you haven’t used in a while, take the links down until the challenge is over. One of the goals is to visit a lot of bloggers, and if you have a handful of blog links visitors have to click through to get to the right one, they will probably move on to someone else.
2. Also, move your social network badges to the top of your sidebar for the event. I will. Another goal is to meet new bloggers and connect on Facebok, Twitter, Goodreads, etc. So make it easy for people to connect with your other social network sites.
What I’m Reading: I finished The Martian (awesome book) and am now on Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief. I downloaded it from my local public library. The library is to the point now they have lots of books available for download. Loving that!
Nick Wilford: Congrats! To Nick on his upcoming release:
Title: A Change of Mind and Other Stories
Author: Nick Wilford
Genre: Contemporary speculative fiction
Release Date: May 25th 2015
A Change of Mind and Other Stories consists of a novella, four short stories and one flash fiction piece. This collection puts the extremes of human behaviour under the microscope with the help of lashings of dark humour, and includes four pieces previously published in Writer’s Muse magazine.
Finally: I’m looking for a few people who would like to read an Advanced Review Copy (ARC) of Salem’s Daughters. To check out the synopsis Click Here
Question: What’s your Theme Reveal? Have you downloaded a book from your local library yet?
Wicked cool theme, Stephen! Fits well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the mention. I'll have more tips up at the A to Z Blog tomorrow.
Congratulations, Nick.
And my theme is... Sorry, you have to wait until Monday morning to find out! Needless to say, I overdid it again...
Ooh, I absolutely love your theme! I'm such a huge sucker for anything related to the supernatural... :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, huge congrats to Nick! I had no idea he had a release coming up. (I've been way too behind on the blogosphere lately!)
Heather, a big Congats! to Nick and his milestone!
DeleteI haven't read the Percy Jackson series, but both my daughters recommend it highly. Still on my list, to get to someday.
ReplyDeleteAnd our library has a lot of titles available on download, too. I still prefer hard copies, but download is a nice alternative.
Oh, man, I am really excited about your theme!! How perfect is that!?!?? And a couple of great tips you shared from Alex. Can't wait to start, General! (Did you notice your rise in rank?)

A to Z Challenge
Barbara, unfortunately Google, who acquired Blogger a few years ago, restricts the number of times one can change their names. And since they erroneously shut me down twice for spamming and I had to start over from scratch I'm not going to change my rank although it would be fun to do for the A to Z Challenge.
DeleteThis is one of the funnest times of the blogging year. The A to Z Theme Reveal. I'm looking forward to seeing what you all have chosen.
ReplyDeleteWhat an interesting theme, Stephen! I look forward to reading what you write about the supernatural over the month of April! So glad to be part of your troop! Looking forward to that!
ReplyDeleteOnly other tip I would mention for the A/Z Challenge is for peopel to make sure it is easy to leave a comment on their blog. There were some blogs I visited last year I could never figure out how to leave a comment.
My theme will be revealed tomorrow, but I'll give you a sneak peek. It's a picture theme with minimal words telling about me from A/Z :)
betty
You've got a pretty solid team behind you.
ReplyDeleteI'm using all my blogs so they're all good. Besides that's why I like to leave my signature link so people can go directly to my blog and not go through the profile.

Lee, you are so organized and your evil plans so well thought out. And you did all this without the use of wormholes. Well done. Well done, indeed.
DeleteHi Steve - sounds like your team is well organised .. and your theme - that'll be interesting to see the quirky things that can go bump in the night ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and Nick, and your team. Perfect theme. I am on Lisa's team and I revealed today too.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you have a great theme. And congrats to Nick!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fabulous theme - I love all things supernatural :). Y'know I was hoping to pop round the theme reveal and see a couple of blogs I would definitely want to visit every day in April and others I might visit occasionally and so far every single one of them has REVIST LOTS in capital letters next the name in my spreadsheet.

Natasha, thanks for your support glad to see people out and about getting excited for the themes for A to Z!
DeleteGreat theme Stephen, good luck.
ReplyDeleteLove your theme Stephen. Sounds like a good fit. I would be delighted to read an ARC of your new book. Yes, I have downloaded books from my library. They don't have Kindle books yet but I can read them on my tablet or on my PC.
ReplyDeleteYou have a spooky fun theme this year.
ReplyDeleteI'm interested in learning more about the Supernatural, if that's even possible. I always like your themes and writing. In the play I'm writing with my students, there is mystery and intrigue and possibly some Supernatural behavior, or not.
ReplyDeleteLove the powerhouse of women on your team!

Supernatural stuff! I like supernatural stuff :) I also like Percy Jackson. Didn't read as a great book to me, but as a storyteller I LOVE what it has done for kids liking mythology again.

Multicolored Diary - Epics from A to Z
MopDog - The crazy thing about Hungarians...
I'm loving bringing mythology back to life too.
DeleteI am thinking it is going to be cool, looking forward to it.

There's no earthly way of knowing.
Which direction we are going!
HOLLYWOOD NUTS!
The supernatural is a great idea for an A-Z theme! Can't wait to see it. Congrats to Nick, too.
ReplyDeleteLoving the A to Z themes I'm seeing as I wake up with my first cup of coffee and tool around Blogdom. Lots of great ideas out there.
ReplyDeleteThings that go bump in the night......... that sure brings back memories of when my DD was young. I'd be rich if I'd gotten paid for everytime I read that too her, lol Good luck with your them and with the challenge. Many thanks for the visit on Bridge and Beyond, and...nudge nudge you can help, even if you don't knit or crochet, you could donate personal care items or socks. Check out the details on the blog. And I wanted to tell you I'm adding you to the blog list of visitors from a-z. Got the links in my right sidebar. Could I also remind you to leave the url to your actual blog vs the profile on g+, it's sometimes very hard to find someone's actual link.
ReplyDeleteYou picked yourself a wide open theme! Have fun with it! :)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the supernatural! I'm excited to read your posts, Stephen. And I'm so happy to be part of your team. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you'll educate us on the supernatural. Congrats to Nick. I've seen him everywhere today.
ReplyDeletenick's making his rounds in Blogdom today. Good luck nick with everything.
ReplyDeleteThanks again, Steve! And I can't wait to see what supernatural themes you have up your sleeve.
ReplyDeleteCool theme and congratulations on your upcoming book release. Thanks for the challenge tips. I will head over to Alex's blog and read his and then I will visit your helper co-hosts. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAnother great theme! Should be some excellent posts to read in April.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to you and Nick. And you have a great team. Do you think they're up for a match with my Muffin Commando Squad? They're a tough bunch. Look forward to the Supernatural Ato Z.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips! I know last year they told everyone to turn verification off and half the people I visited ignored that. Is word verification gone? I haven't even seen it in a while, come to think of it!
ReplyDeleteSo many great themes. I'm going to visit as many as I can. My goal is 100 a day. I think I can do it!
ReplyDeleteWell this will be a fun theme to read:)
ReplyDeleteYeah, for the supernatural!
ReplyDeleteSounds spectacular!
Hello to your impressive team!
Congrats to NICK!
My son and I read all the Percy, all the Olympians, and the Kane Chronicles. We enjoyed them all.
Heather
Heather, so very cool you read them with your son. I', trying to keep up with the Warriors series by Erin Hunter (which is a name fro a handful of authors including Tui Sutherland who we met at a book signing recently).
DeleteI'm easily scared. Maybe I'll read during the day.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably well known by now, but I do love the supernatural! Fantastic theme!
ReplyDeleteI remember, Hope I can keep up with you.
DeleteSupernatural sounds fascinating! Looking forward to reading your posts :)
ReplyDeleteAll the best!
That's kind of scary-fantastic! Look forward to reading the posts. In broad daylight.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes for a great A-Z,
Nilanjana.
Madly-in-Verse
Those are some good tips. My profile automatically goes to G+ and my posts post there too, so it helps. :-)
ReplyDeleteI have my posts ready to go. Hope to see you all doing the same so you can spend your time visiting blogs and meeting new people.
ReplyDeleteLoved Percy Jackson. Your theme is great--supernatural is awesome.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a fund theme! Looking forward to it :)
ReplyDeleteLoved Percy Jackson - enjoy!
SCHWEET, Stephen. Excellent theme. And oh what a team (I made a rhyme). I am not doing A to Z this year. Christopher may have to have surgery, I need to revise my novel, querying publishers with my PBs, etc. etc. Super happy for Nick.
ReplyDeleteRobyn, best wishes to Christopher. And there are times when you just need to take care of yourself and get things done.
DeleteThe supernatural sounds exciting. Great idea. Looking forward to your posts. Off now to move things around on my blog.
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of the Supernatural, as that is something that always intrigues me. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteShould be a grand theme to give a go, with the supernatural high and low
ReplyDeleteI love the supernatural stuff! Fun, fun, fun. And congrats to Nick again!
ReplyDeleteSouthpaw, Fun is the name of the game. And I had a blast putting these posts together.
DeleteWith so many shows and movies and books focusing on the supernatural and paranormal, including my latest work, this topic seems to be a real winner. It was fun putting the posts together and I'm sure you'll find them interesting if not a little fascinating.
ReplyDeleteNothing I love more than the supernatural. I'm looking forward to your theme, Stephen. Happy AtoZ!
ReplyDeleteExcellent tips, wonderful theme!
ReplyDeleteOh, great choice! Yeah, that stuff is endlessly interesting. Will be tuning in. :))
ReplyDeleteOooh, that sounds like a fun theme!
ReplyDeleteAnd I never did wish you happy birthday via Facebook... so Happy Belated Big Day!
Thank you Loni! And a Happy Birthday right back at you!
DeleteA great theme!! And brilliant tips too.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely like your theme and I LOVED The Martian. What a great book.
ReplyDeleteGreat tips, Stephen. The paranormal fans among us will have a whale of a time.
ReplyDeleteGreat theme! Can't wait to see all the goodies that come with that one. My son just got done with the Percy Jackson series and loved it. Now, I'm getting a daily run-down of all the gods.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha! You did a Barbara! Published what you meant to schedule. I find that comforting.
ReplyDeleteStephen, I like your The Supernatural Theme a lot. Looking forward to reading it.
ReplyDeleteExcellent theme! And I looked at your 26 topics too -- they're awesome. I'm looking forward to reading about them. I started The Martian and loved the character so much, but the stakes went down for me when the NASA people realized he was there. With a ton of people trying to rescue him it wasn't as exciting as when he was just trying to survive by his own wits. I started Mike Carey's Castor series now. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to tomorrow's post :) This is my first A to Z challenge, seems fun!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of this theme. So many possibilities! And thanks for dropping by my blog :) Good luck with the challenge!
ReplyDeleteThanks Lacy and good luck to you too!
DeleteThanks for the tips. Moving my social media badges now.
