Question of the Month, Hilary Melton-Butcher, Sir Isaac Newton, and More!

Question of the Month Are you an Introvert or an Extrovert? I’m more of an introvert. I can be loud if I want to be, just not all the time. I think being introverted helps writers as they are able to spend more time researching and writing than looking for people to strike up a conversation with. This is a once-a-month Bloghop you can sign up for by Clicking Here.

Insecure Writers Support Group If you don’t have your post up for this Wednesday be sure to do so. I’ll be co-hosting this month’s event and visiting as many people as possible.

Fun Facts Cats prefer their food around room temperature. Not too hot and not too cold.

Did You Know Sir Isaac Newton, among his many achievements, invented the cat "flap" door.

Who Am I My name is Stephen Tremp and I write speculative fiction. My fourth novel, Salem’s Daughters, is supernatural thriller.

Short Blurb A four hundred year old evil is unleashed when souls of the daughters of those killed during the Salem Witch Trials find a new generation of people to murder at a popular modern-day bed and breakfast.

  1. I'd be surprised if any of the writers claimed to be extroverts.
Invented the cat door? Who knew?

  2. Tend to be introverted myself, but not a write. How cute with Isaac Newton inventing the cat flap door; I'm thinking he must have had a cat?

  3. Hi Stephen - thanks for including me with Isaac Newton ... and I too didn't know he'd invented the cat flap. I think preferring food at room temperature for a cat makes sense. All Soul's Day today ... so those poor souls will be around with us.

I'm probably more introverted ... but have adapted when necessary ... cheers and good luck with the rest of the tour - Hilary

    1. Hilary, I've adopted as well, at least in certain situations. And I thought you'd like the Sir Isaac Newton reference.

    1. TBM, and just think of all the people over the millenia that never came up with that idea.

  5. I didn't know that about the cat flap door...cool! Seems like he and Ben Franklin came up with a ton of stuff.

I'm an introvert. Way, way on the introvert scale!

  6. Our cats have never like cold tuna. We have to give it to them straight out of the packet.

I like to think I am an outgoing introvert.

  7. I think there are more introverts than we know... I think we're the oil that keeps everyone else from rusting away into dust.

  10. Being an introvert is probably the most common attribute of writers in general. In my extroverted times I spend more time with people and less time getting solitary work done.

  11. It does seem that most writers/bloggers are introverts. We are better with the silent (written) word. :)

  14. You raise a good point. I have no idea how an extrovert manages to write. I'm sure not all writers are introverts, but it's very conducive to the occupation. Best of luck with your new release!

  16. I've often thought that we should install a cat flap door. I hesitate to, however, because he might come back in with a dead mouse hanging out of his mouth! This was a great question of the month.
