January 8 Question What started you on your writing journey? Was it a particular book, movie, story, or series? Was it a teacher/coach/spouse/friend/parent? Did you just "know" suddenly you wanted to write? 

Although I’ve always written short stories my start came from a girl I worked with about 20 years ago. She’s the one who referred me to read Douglas Preston / Lincoln child’s book Relic. 

After reading this I knew I wanted to write in speculative fiction. My Breakthrough series came to me pretty much all at once. I read a book (forget the title) where a guy in real life was in a car accident and ended up in a coma. He claimed he went to heaven and there was a huge warehouse with no end in site of all kinds of stuff God wanted to give to mankind. Medical cures. Musical instruments. Songs. And stories among many other items. 

So I said out loud I’d like one of these stories please as I’d like to be a writer. It seemed to be downloaded into my brain and within three days I had pretty much the entire Breakthrough series outlined and began filling it out. 

Question How was your holidays? Do you have major goals you want to achieve in 2020?
