February 2018 IWSG, E=MC2 and Speculative Fiction

Hello everyone. As always thanks for stopping by!

The awesome co-hosts for the February 7 posting of the IWSG are Stephen Tremp, Pat Garcia, Angela Wooldridge, Victoria Marie Lees, and Madeline Mora-Summonte!

๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ˜€Please be sure to stop by their blogs and show them some love!

February 7 question - What do you love about the genre you write in most often?

My genre is speculative fiction and I love combining science with the supernatural. Einstein’s famous equation E=MC2 simply, beautifully and eloquently states energy is equal to matter times the speed of light squared.

Replicas to Scale. These were not big bombs and the uranium took up a fraction of the space.

Our minds struggle to frame just how immense this power is. Think of the two nuclear bombs dropped in WWII. Only 2 – 3 percent of the potential energy was released from 2 pounds of uranium-235.

I believe there are angelic and demonic beings. They exist naturally in a state of energy, or the E in E=MC2. Some have the authority and ability to cross over the equal sign in the equation and physically manifest themselves as matter in our world of seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling and touching.

Not just matter. Matter times the speed of light squared. Folks, this is a lot of power! And this would help explain much of the crazy stuff in our history and current events. This is what I love writing in my genre of speculative fiction. Which may not be so speculative after all.
