V is for Visitations, Vehicles and Venting

Visitations From what I’ve read in comments from previous posts many of you have had what you believe was a visitation from someone who had passed on. This is exactly what a visitation dream is.

But it’s important to note many people claim to have a visitation while awake. There is a verse in the Bible. Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

Many interpret this great cloud of witness to be the saints of old (Catholics) or loved ones (Protestants) who God has given authority to briefly make a visitation to an individual or to help them pray.

Vehicles Now here is a topic whose meaning is all over the charts. I’ve read vehicles could mean dozens of things. So I’ll state what they have meant to me: a message is being delivered.

I believe God can deliver a message in dreams and a vehicle is the mode of transportation; cars, trains, planes, buses, boats, sherpas, etc. Time detours me from elaborating on this topic such as what type of vehicle, is it public private or corporate, the speed, color, who is driving etc.

Rock 'em Sock 'em Robots. Great Way to Vent.

Venting This is self-explanatory. You may never open that release valve at work and tell your boss what you really think of him or her. But in your dreams, you have a blank check to vent with mucho gusto.

Question Have you had a visitation in your dreams or while you were awake?

  1. I've had dreams about my mom who passed and dreams about the dog who passed. Usually in dreams about my mom, I do realize she is no longer with us while I'm dreaming the dream.

  2. I've had both. It was a very calming incident. I wish they would visit more often.

  3. Oh yes, I have dreamed about my dad. One I already related in an earlier post. Another time, I saw him looking at a great tree, oak (he was a lumberman and I grew up on a sawmill). I came to him and told him how happy I was to see him. We were the. Sitting down under the tree and I was saddened by how my brother was resting my mom and myself, mainly due to his 3rd wife. I was so sad to see my mom so sad since my brother would not see or talk to us and my dad said not to worry, the mama is stronger than I think she is. He told me not to worry that his wife will leave him and he will come back with his tail between his legs. The marriage wont last long..less than 2 years. He was right! I felt so much better after seeing my dad. My mom saw her aunt, when she was a kid, fly towards her and she was scared. The next day, she found out that her Aunt committed suicide right at the time she saw her. My mom also had a dream, right after my dad died, that she saw him sitting on the side of their bed and she was surprised to see him saying he was dead. He told her he knows but he was happy to talk with her. She then talked with him for a long time. Anyhow there ya go with some examples.

  4. I haven't had a visitation, but my father has. My Uncle Harry died many years ago now and he was the kind of old fashioned farmer who hid his money and didn't trust any part of the establishment. He died so suddenly he didn't tell anyone where the money was, but he came to my father in a dream and showed him where he'd put it and my father retrieved it for my aunt.

  6. Your word choice, venting, struck a cord with me today. Bottling up negative emotions is a quick trip to the grave. But it is wise to choose how you vent. Telling the boss to do what Johnny Paycheck suggested is an even quicker trip to the unemployment line.

  7. I already mentioned the three dreams I had about a favorite cat who died, but I've also dreamed about my dad who died about ten years ago a few times.

  9. I always know I am in a dream if my mom is there. Very disconcerting. As far as venting- oh yeah. Always work related. The Vs are busy words in dreams.

  10. Never when I've been awake, but often I'll have a dream visit from someone who has passed on such as my parents or certain old friends. Those dreams are almost always very comforting to me.

I dream about vehicles a lot though it makes sense because so much of my life has been spent in vehicles and has depended on vehicles. Some dream nights it seems like I spend most of the time traveling somewhere in a vehicle.

  11. Visitation dreams sound a lot like the ghosts I'm always on the lookout for;-) Venting? Ha- I've even crossed my arms and probably stuck out my bottom lip! Meanwhile, mi vida sometimes wakes us both up with laughter. No kidding, he rarely remembers but I'd sure like to know what was so darn funny:-)

  12. My mom had a visitation dream after my grandpa died. He appeared in my grandma's kitchen and my mom and grandma were there and he told my mom everything would be okay.

  18. No. I haven't had any visitation dreams. I have had some strange experiences while awake, however. They may have been caused by writing books. :-)

  19. Yes, I've had visitations. I distinguish them from dreams because when I dream about people who have passed on, there's some sort of action or story going on. The visitations (3 of them) were just the person standing before me smiling. I'm always grateful that they stopped by to say hello!

I've consistently had dreams of being in a car that suddenly careens through a guardrail and over the side of a high overpass. I generally drive over flyways and bridges with a white-knuckled grip on the wheel. :)

  20. I've never had a visitation in person but I've had several visitations in dreams, both from my passed on loved ones and also my dogs. I always wake up so happy when I have these dreams...
