Oh How I Miss You Blogfest, Space Junk, and the Weekend Follies

Oh How I Miss You Blogfest: Sponsered by Andrew Leon, Alex J. Cavanaugh, and Matthew McNish. Maybe this should have been my IWSG post. Since Google shut me down earlier this year and I lost contact with most of my followers. There are just too many people to list. I miss like a thousand people. Literally. Not what to say here. But I miss you all. Wherever you are.

Who Would I Miss: I’m thinking L. Diane Wolfe. She has so much to offer. She should charge for what she posts for free on her blog. But wait. That’s not all. Take a few moments to download her material and you will find yourself in a much better place to promote and market your works!

Steve’s Science And Other Fun Stuff: If you haven’t already, please take a moment at the end of this post to click Einstein’s face at the top of my right side bar. I have a great post I think you will be very much interested int. Satellite To Crash To Earth:

What in the world? Que’ en el mundo for my Hispanic friends. A European space satellite that has been mapping the Earth’s gravitational field is set to crash down to Earth in the coming days, and it could provide a “real treat” for space watchers. But does it pose a danger to people? Check in Monday for my post on Asteroids, Space Junk, and other stuff that could unexpectently crash into Earth with little to no warning. Reference

I had this amazing article on Space Junk on my previous blog. But damned if Google, who acquired Blogger, didn't come in and shut me down with no reason and no warning. No worries. I'll have to rewrite everything from scratch. Still ... Bad Google. Evil Google.

Go Lions!!!

Weekend Follies: I was born and raised in the great state of Michigan and live in southern California now. Came out right after high school. But I still wear my Michigan sports teams shirts with great pride.

I came across this clip on YouTube that demonstrates team loyalties run deep at a very young age. I can laugh because the Bears and the Packers play in the same division as the Lions. Damn it man, this is football!!!  Enjoy!

  2. At least the Lions aren't losing every game this year!
    Diane offers some great stuff.
Satellite crashing? Just don't hit my house.
Thanks for participating in the blogfest!

  3. L. Diane Wolfe is a great choice. I would choose you as well. I would miss your space/science snippets of news. I really don't understand how or why Google shut you down. They don't seem to think they owe anyone explanations about anything. Don't you keep copies of your blogs?

  5. I lost a blog on Wordpress a while ago, so I know how frustrating that can be. I hadn't backed it up either, which was a lesson learned. Grrr ...
I'm glad I found you here though! :)

  7. I'm going to have to watch out for that satellite, if its in view from my end. Blogging would be less of a joy without Diane. :)

  12. Stephen, I'm sorry that you lost so many followers when your blog got shut down. : ( Diane does have an awesome blog. Lots of great information! I felt bad that the little girl got the wrong jersey, but it was kind of a funny video.

    1. A Vikings fan" I'll pray for you. Seriously, I hope AP ends his career with a Super Bowl ring. Just not at the Lions expense.

  14. Hi Steve .. that blog loss was a monumental pain for you - just so pleased you managed to resolve most of it and get up and running again.

I would miss Chase Manhattan ... so please finish Escalation ... !! But there are many great bloggers aren't they - yes Diane and yes Elizabeth Spann-Craig ... both with loads of great advice and knowledge bases ... and then all our friends and supporters ...

Cheers and have a happy weekend ... with thoughts re Beau .. Hilary

  16. It's fun traveling around Blogdom and seeing names and faces from the past that I have forgotten about. Hopefully we will see them one day in the near future.

  20. I grew up in Southern Cal, Stephen, as a big-time Dodger fan. Steve Garvey, Rod Carew, Fernando Valenzeula, and a few others are the other athletes (or former athletes) I can name to date. Enjoy football season.

I still feel horrible for your problems with google. That's ruthless of them - what a nightmare. I'm glad you're persistent. We'd all miss you if you weren't.

Be well, and thanks for dropping by. Down with Martha Stewart.

    1. Robyn, I concur. We have Kirk Gibson in Common. He's the answer to a trivia question that can win you a free beer. Who is the only American League and National League World Series MVP never to appear in an All Star Game. Gibson was voted in, but elected to take the time off due to injuries and such. It's a trick question, but it works!

  22. For a while, I saved all my posts as word documents, but I've gotten out of the habit of that. Maybe, I should start saving them all again...
